2020 BRAIN Initiative Investigators Meeting

The BRAIN Initiative® Investigators Meeting will convene BRAIN Initiative awardees, staff, and leadership from the contributing federal agencies -- NIH, NSF, DARPA, IARPA, and FDA -- plus representatives and investigators from participating non-federal organizations, and members of the media, public, and Congress. The purpose of this open meeting is to provide a forum for discussing exciting scientific developments and potential new directions, and to identify areas for collaboration and research coordination.

The Future of Neuroscience in National Security

June 24 (11am-5pm EDT); Virtual colloquium

During this (U.S.) National Academies event, a panel of experts will explore how developments in neuroscience might be used to create the means to influence behaviors, detect intentions, discern truth telling, affect cognitive performance, and manipulate emotions in individuals. Speakers will also discuss the potential national security implications of this research. Following individual presentations, the panel will answer questions from colloquium participants.

FENS Virtual Forum

The virtual forum will allow delegates to access and participate in all events, including plenary and special lectures, symposia, poster sessions, exhibition, networking and educational events, and much more. Delegates will be able to participate in the live events -- July 11-15 -- followed by three months of on-demand virtual access.
